Educational support & enrichment

TLC – The Learning Center

TLC supports students with academic challenges, particularly those in Tier 3 or with diagnosed learning difficulties. Experienced special education specialists offer one-on-one assistance in both Judaic and general studies. Our warm, compassionate approach empowers every student to thrive.

LEAP Enrichment

LEAP (Learning Enrichment Activities Program) supports academically advanced students with stimulating enrichment. Once a week, second through fourth-grade students benefit from special instruction. They also receive a supplemental packet to explore their class curriculum in greater depth during the week.

Yedios Klaliyos

This is Torah Academy’s signature yearlong program! Students in grades 1-8 broaden their horizons by learning Torah topics not covered in the classroom Judaics curriculum. The program is voluntary but encouraged with an amazing year-end trip.

Hasmada

Learning never ends at Torah Academy! Over vacations, students in grades 1-8 are encouraged to keep the lessons of school going with learning, davening, and more. Prizes and trips make it well worth their effort.

Friday Enrichment

Friday enrichment exposes students to skills-building activities not covered in the regular general studies curriculum. The 45-minute classes are held after school on Fridays between Sukkos and Pesach, led by experienced general studies teachers.

STEAM

Our innovative STEAM program focuses on Technology, Engineering, and the Arts (TEA). Students grow through hands-on projects and experiential learning.

Social/Emotional development

Successful learning starts with a supportive school environment and healthy social-emotional development. Torah Academy teaches staff and students a shared SEL language and provides non-intrusive SEL interventions beginning in Torah Tots. These are three of our signature programs:

Leader in Me

Torah Academy’s SEL program increases in-school engagements, creates a supportive school culture, and fosters leadership and personal development. We set school-wide and personal WIGs (Wildly Important Goals) tailored to each individual’s academic or social-emotional growth.

The Mentch Mart

Good deeds turn into great rewards! Students earn Honorable “Mentch”ion Notes for exemplary behavior, outstanding classwork, great sportsmanship, terrific friendship, and much more. They use that currency to shop for exciting prizes at the Mentch Mart.

G.O.

G.O. transforms Torah Academy’s girls from classmates into friends. Each month, a creative and meaningful activity brings out the girls’ latent talents and creates ruach and schoolwide unity. Our 8th graders capably organize and lead the much-anticipated monthly events.

Summer growth through fun

SCAMP

It’s not quite school, and it’s not quite camp! Torah Academy’s ingenious SCAMP fills the previously empty two weeks between school and camp. 4th-8th grade boys enjoy productive learning and structured sports with their rebbeim and friends.

Camp Ruach

Crafts, swimming, trips, and friends! Camp Ruach is a summer day camp for children coming out of Torah Tots, pre-k, and kindergarten. All the fun of summer in their familiar school environment!
